Terms of Service
Last updated: October 10, 2026
Welcome to Kristin’s Nails & Spa. These Terms explain how our website, appointment booking, salon services, deposits and promotional coupons work. Please read the terms relevant to your appointment before submitting a booking or payment. If you have questions, call (916) 389-0289 before proceeding.
Before you book
Please review your services, add-ons, technician, date, time and estimated price before booking. A $30 non-refundable Venmo deposit applies only when your booking requires it. Promotional coupons require an eligible appointment booked online and are not valid for walk-ins. All appointment times and offer dates use California time.
1. About these Terms
In these Terms, “Salon,” “we,” “us” and “our” mean Kristin’s Nails & Spa at 2935 W Capitol Ave, West Sacramento, CA 95691. “You” means the person using the website, requesting an appointment, claiming a coupon or receiving a service. Our website is www.kristinsalon.com. These Terms apply to our customer-facing website and booking and promotion tools, together with the specific terms clearly presented for your booking or offer.
Using the website does not itself reserve a service or authorize a charge. Booking and payment obligations arise from the details you review and accept in the applicable transaction. If an appointment or offer has specific terms, those specific terms control that appointment or offer where they differ from these general Terms, subject to applicable law. Nothing here overrides your non-waivable consumer rights.
2. Booking information and eligibility
Online customers must provide their first name, last name and a correct 10-digit phone number. Provide information you are authorized to use and review it for accuracy. You are responsible for checking the appointment information shown before submitting. Do not use another person’s contact information without permission or create false, duplicate or speculative bookings.
An online booking is for one person. If another person will receive services, make a separate booking or contact the Salon for assistance. Selecting several services for yourself does not reserve additional guests. Owner-entered appointments, group arrangements and walk-ins may be handled differently by Salon staff.
If a service is for a minor, contact the Salon before booking to confirm service suitability and any parent or guardian requirements. A person making a booking for someone else must have authority to do so. We may request information reasonably necessary to provide the service safely and appropriately.
3. Availability, technicians and appointment times
Available times depend on the selected services, service duration, eligible technicians, existing appointments, breaks, holidays and Salon hours. A time displayed before submission is not guaranteed to remain available. Your booking result or confirmation determines whether an appointment was created; a pending-deposit appointment remains subject to payment review.
When “Any available technician” is selected, our scheduling tool may assign an eligible technician based on availability and appointment balancing. A requested technician is subject to availability. A favorite-technician preference maintained by the Salon applies only to services that technician offers. Other services may require another technician. Contact us if a particular technician is essential before paying a deposit.
Multiple services are scheduled sequentially, and each service may count separately toward the booking limit displayed by the scheduler. Please review each service’s assigned technician and time. Duration and finish times are estimates; nail condition, removal work, designs and other service details may change the time required. A service marked “Time varies” has no guaranteed duration.
All appointment dates and times use America/Los_Angeles, including California daylight saving time. When adding an appointment to Apple, Google, Samsung or another calendar, check its date, time zone and details. A calendar entry does not replace the Salon’s booking record or independently confirm an appointment.
4. Prices, add-ons and service estimates
Prices shown during booking are based on the services and add-ons selected. “Starting from” prices are minimum estimates rather than a guaranteed final quote. The final amount may depend on nail length, condition, product removal, repairs, design complexity and additional work you request. Ask for clarification before the service begins; additional charges should be explained before you agree to additional work.
Add-on prices adjust the applicable service price. Some add-ons may be unavailable together because of service compatibility. Review your selections and estimated total before submitting. Selecting a complicated-design option may extend the estimated duration by 30 minutes; it does not by itself guarantee that a design can be completed or establish a final design price.
We may update prices and offerings for future bookings. We will not treat an obvious website error as authorization for an undisclosed charge. If a material pricing or availability error affects your request, we will contact you to clarify your options before proceeding. Tips are voluntary unless you separately agree otherwise; any tip you choose is distinct from the service amount.
5. Venmo deposits and payment verification
When your selected technician or service requires a deposit, checkout will request a $30 non-refundable Venmo deposit and your agreement to the displayed deposit terms before you can open the payment link or complete the booking. A deposit is not required for every appointment. Follow the requirement shown for your specific booking.
Use only the payment recipient and link displayed by the Salon. The Venmo note may include your first and last name and the appointment date and time to help us match the payment. Confirm the recipient, amount and note in Venmo before paying. A payment link or uploaded screenshot does not itself verify receipt of funds. Required deposit screenshots are reviewed by the Salon, and appointments may remain Deposit Unconfirmed until staff confirm payment.
Upload a genuine screenshot of the completed payment when requested. Crop unrelated transactions, balances and personal details where practical; do not upload passwords, full card details or banking credentials. Keep your own payment receipt. Do not make repeated payments because a page is slow or a screenshot fails; contact us first if the payment status is unclear.
The stated non-refundable deposit policy is subject to applicable law and the specific terms accepted at checkout. Before paying, ask us if you need clarification about how the deposit applies to your service balance, a changed appointment, cancellation or a Salon-initiated change. These Terms do not authorize additional charges to your Venmo account. Venmo’s own terms govern its payment service.
6. Rescheduling, cancellation and late arrival
Where checkout displays a six-hour appointment-change window, request a date change within six hours after making the booking and before the appointment begins. Contact the Salon promptly at (916) 389-0289. A requested change is subject to available times and is not complete until the Salon confirms it. The window does not guarantee a preferred replacement time or a deposit refund.
For later changes, cancellations, illness or an expected late arrival, contact the Salon as soon as possible. If you arrive late, we may need to adjust the service, shorten the available appointment or arrange another time. Do not assume that a missed appointment, a calendar change or closing the browser automatically cancels or reschedules the Salon’s record.
No additional cancellation or no-show fee is created by this page. Any separate fee or condition must be clearly disclosed and agreed to before it applies, and must comply with law. If the Salon cannot provide a booked service or must materially change it, we will discuss an alternative and the appropriate handling of any payment already received, consistent with your legal rights.
7. Promotions, discounts and referral offers
Each offer has its own eligibility, qualifying services, discount, minimum spend and dates. Read the complete offer before claiming. Upcoming offers cannot be claimed before their start date. Offers with an end date expire at the end of that date in California time. An offer shown without an end date has no currently listed expiration; it is not a promise that the offer will remain available forever.
To use an online promotional coupon, claim the offer and book an eligible appointment online. Coupons are not valid for walk-ins. Claiming an offer does not book an appointment, guarantee availability or guarantee that your selected services qualify. Show your unique QR coupon at the appointment so authorized Salon staff can verify and redeem it.
Unless the specific offer states otherwise, the claim tool allows each phone number and browser to claim each offer once every 14 days. Each promotion has its own claim period and coupon. Claiming one offer does not prevent a claim for another eligible offer. A claim countdown is not an extension of an offer’s expiration date.
A coupon can be redeemed only once. Previously redeemed, altered, duplicated, expired or ineligible coupons cannot be reused. Sharing or copying a QR code does not create a second coupon. The discount is applied only to eligible service charges and is limited to the applicable service amount. Any minimum spend, combination restrictions or other exclusions must be stated in the offer; do not assume multiple discounts can be combined without confirmation.
Referral offers require the conditions stated on that offer, including any new-client and advance-booking requirement for the referred person. A referral claim alone does not establish that those conditions have been met. Ask the Salon to verify both participants’ eligibility before relying on a referral discount. Past offers remain visible for reference and cannot be claimed after expiration.
8. Health disclosures and service suitability
Before a service, tell your technician about relevant allergies, sensitivities, skin or nail conditions, recent injuries, open wounds or other circumstances that could affect safe service. You may describe a concern privately. Do not send detailed medical records through a design-photo upload or ordinary text message. If you are unsure whether a treatment is appropriate, consult a qualified healthcare professional before your visit.
Salon services are cosmetic services and are not medical diagnosis or treatment. Expressions such as “detox,” “herbal” or “rejuvenating” describe a spa experience and do not promise medical benefits. We may recommend a different service, modify a procedure or decline to proceed when a service appears unsuitable or unsafe, consistent with applicable law and reasonable accommodation requirements.
Tell your technician immediately if you feel pain, excessive heat, irritation or discomfort, and ask to stop if necessary. Do not continue a service solely because a booking or deposit has been made. If you develop concerning symptoms after a visit, seek appropriate medical advice and contact the Salon about the service.
9. Results, design references and aftercare
Results depend on individual nail and skin condition, product compatibility, the chosen service and aftercare. Reference photos show inspiration rather than a guarantee of an identical result. Colors may appear different because of lighting, screens, product batches or your natural nail. Discuss length, shape, color and design expectations with your technician before work begins.
Follow the aftercare guidance provided for your service. Avoid picking, forceful removal or using enhancements as tools. Wear and longevity vary with daily activities and individual conditions. We do not promise a particular wear period or a result that is identical to a photograph.
If something is not as expected, tell us before leaving when possible, or contact us promptly with your appointment details and a description of the concern. We will review the circumstances and discuss appropriate next steps. A repair, adjustment, refund or other resolution depends on the facts and applicable rights; this page does not establish an unannounced deadline or blanket no-refund rule for service concerns.
10. Design uploads, photographs and visit records
Upload only images you own or have permission to share for the purpose of discussing your requested service. Do not upload unlawful material, unrelated sensitive information or images that expose someone’s personal information without permission. You grant the Salon a limited permission to receive, store and show your uploaded references to authorized staff as needed to plan your service and maintain the related appointment record.
Uploading an image for an appointment does not grant permission to publish it in our gallery, advertising or social media. Promotional use of customer photographs requires separate permission. Declining promotional photography does not waive your rights or require you to accept public use of your image.
Design-reference images are generally scheduled for removal from the booking tool 60 days after the appointment ends. Contact the Salon with questions about a particular record; this schedule does not mean every payment record, appointment detail, legally required record or backup is deleted on the same date. Staff may keep service notes such as polish colors, designs and visit preferences to assist future appointments.
11. Contact details, privacy and communications
We use the information you provide to handle bookings, customer service, payment review, service history and coupon eligibility. The separate Privacy Policy explains privacy matters and how to contact us about your information. Providing a phone number for an appointment does not, by itself, constitute consent to unrelated marketing messages.
Save your appointment details and any management link securely. Anyone with a private appointment link or QR coupon may be able to view or use the information it exposes. Tell the Salon if you believe a link, coupon or record has been accessed improperly. Automated reminders, where offered, are a convenience and do not relieve you of checking your appointment details.
We may contact you about an appointment or a service issue using the details you provided. Third-party messaging or payment providers may apply their own terms and carrier charges. Do not use website forms or messages for emergencies. For urgent scheduling questions, call the Salon during business hours.
12. Salon conduct, accessibility and belongings
Please treat staff and other guests respectfully and follow reasonable safety and hygiene instructions. Harassment, threats, violence and unlawful conduct are not permitted. We may pause or decline service for a legitimate safety or conduct reason, consistent with anti-discrimination law and reasonable accommodation obligations.
Contact us before your visit if you need an accessibility accommodation or assistance using the booking tool. We will discuss practical arrangements with you. Ask about the suitability of bringing accompanying guests or children so we can plan space and supervision safely.
Keep track of your belongings and avoid placing valuables near water or service equipment. Report a lost item or property concern promptly. Nothing in this section excludes responsibility that cannot legally be excluded.
13. Website content and acceptable use
Our name, logo, original photographs, page designs and other content are owned by the Salon or used with permission. You may view the website for personal appointment and service purposes. Do not copy or commercially reuse protected content without authorization, except as permitted by law. Third-party names and materials remain the property of their respective owners.
Do not interfere with the website, bypass access controls, attempt to enter staff-only tools, scrape customer information, upload malicious files or manipulate appointment or coupon records. Automated booking abuse, fabricated payment evidence and attempts to evade reasonable eligibility limits may result in rejection of the affected request or restricted access, subject to applicable law.
Some promotional images or descriptions may be AI-assisted. Artwork is illustrative; the written offer terms and confirmed service details govern. If a picture or caption seems inconsistent with an offer, ask the Salon for clarification before booking or paying. We may correct errors and maintain the security of the tools without changing your non-waivable rights.
14. Third-party platforms and interruptions
The website may use or link to third-party services for hosting, payments, maps, reviews, social media and calendars. Those providers operate under their own terms and privacy policies. A link or embedded widget does not make the Salon responsible for every provider’s content, availability or account decisions.
Online tools may occasionally be interrupted, delayed or inaccurate. Do not submit repeated bookings or payments when a result is unclear. Keep any confirmation or receipt and contact the Salon so we can check the record. Technical errors do not automatically create an appointment, redeem a coupon or authorize extra charges.
15. Customer concerns, feedback and honest reviews
For a booking, payment, coupon or service concern, call (916) 389-0289 or contact us at the Salon address below. Give the appointment date, the service involved and a clear description of what happened. We will review the available information and discuss a resolution. Avoid posting someone else’s private contact, payment or health information when describing a concern.
You remain free to share honest opinions about your experience. These Terms do not prohibit negative reviews, impose a penalty for an honest review or require you to transfer ownership of a review. We may respond to feedback or report content through a platform’s normal processes, consistent with applicable law.
16. Legal rights, responsibility and disputes
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including responsibility for fraud, willful injury or violations of law. These Terms do not ask you to waive claims merely because you receive a cosmetic service, nor do they impose a blanket release for personal injury.
California law applies to the extent permitted by applicable law, without depriving you of mandatory protections that otherwise apply. We encourage you to contact the Salon first so we can try to resolve a concern, but doing so does not eliminate your right to contact a regulator, bring a small-claims case or use another available legal remedy. This page does not impose mandatory arbitration, a class-action waiver or an exclusive distant court.
If a provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent lawful. Any replacement or interpretation must preserve applicable consumer protections rather than expand an unlawful restriction.
17. Updates and additional arrangements
We may update these Terms for future use, services or bookings by posting a revised date. Material new obligations will not be applied retroactively to an existing transaction without a lawful basis and any required notice or agreement. Keep a copy of the offer and booking terms you accepted if you need them for your records.
A separately agreed service arrangement or offer may supplement these Terms. No employee statement should be understood as an authorization for an undisclosed fee or a waiver of your legal rights. Contact the Salon if the website, an offer and a booking confirmation appear inconsistent.
